Abalone Sea shell ring copper electroplated

A cute little ring that has been handcrafted from a ring base and a reclaimed piece of abalone shell from a broken piece of jewelry.

This ring was made doing the electro forming copper plating method. The shell carries various colors and reminds you of the ocean. It's wrapped in a darkened copper border, coming in at size 6.5.

The copper has been electroplated to the ring over a long time, takes anywhere from 4-24 hours. Next a patinated is added then polished and sealed.

This piece makes a great gift or a great addition to an outfit and is also unisex.

Recycled parts : recycled copper water pipes were used in the plating process.
